We stopped again for water and shade but after that our walkers needed relief. There were lots of great new smells and I kept going despite the sun beating down on me. Once we drank some water I really enjoyed our walk. Then I managed to find something smelly to roll in and look silly in front of her. The Lady always carries a collapsible water bowl with her and I readily shared it with Sugar. First, mom made sure we found the water right away. We started early, 10 a.m., but not a cloud in the sky, a black dog, and little shade, we had to take precautions. We took a moment to pause for pictures on the bridge over it. There's a beautiful lake surrounded by a path. By new, we mean little trees and little shade. We were meeting at a beautiful new development called Gallery Park, on the former site of Glenview Naval Air Station, something the Lady still has not gotten over.
